Maths Groups in 2L

Each week, 2L participate in a variety of activities during maths groups. This week, some of our activities included building different volumes, snakes and ladders, number bingo and using a variety of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. During maths groups, students come to the Engine Room to work with the teacher. Here, we work on new concepts in an explicit, small group environment. Within maths groups, 2L students draw on a range of social skills including taking turns, listening to others and working together. 2L enjoy maths groups and look forward to practising their skills throughout the rotations.
