Last Friday, KS finished reading the story, "The Everywhere Bear." Afterward, we completed a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) activity, "The Teddy Bear challenge." The students had to plan, design and work together, in teams, to build a bridge for their teddies. The items they needed were:
Paddlepop sticks (4 for each group of 4).
Plastic cups (4 for each group of 4).
20 teddy bears for each group.
Tape (optional).
A4 paper and pencils to plan and design their bridges.
They had such a great time building the bridges! There was a lot of conversation generated and attempts made by the students. Teamwork was definitely evident. KS loves their Friday afternoon STEM activities!
