Stories and highlights

There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Kindergarten starting their primary school journey, first day of Kindergarten.

Playgroup is held at our school on Friday mornings from 9:15am - 11am. This is a great way for families to meet other parents in our community.

Easter Hat Parade is held annually in the back oval where students wear a variety of colourful Easter Creations.

Mother's Day Breakfast is cooked and served by our staff and held in the week prior to Mother's Day to celebrate all the Mothers, Grandmothers and Mother figures in our school community.

Book Week Parade is held during Children's Book Week each year. Students and staff can come dressed as a character from their favourite book. This years theme was book an adventure.

On NAIDOC day, the whole school comes together to learn more about culture and celebrate the achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Father's Day Breakfast is cooked and served by our staff and held in the week prior to Father's Day to celebrate all the Fathers, Grandfathers and Father figures in our school community.

The Little Joeys program supports children to transition into school and feel confident and ready for Kindergarten.

Sports Carnivals are held for during the year. We have one for swimming, athletics and cross country.

Starstruck students from our school participate in dance and choir at Starstruck held in Newcastle in June each year.

Science and Engineering Challenge is attended by selected students in years 5 and 6 each year. these students participate in a variety of different challenges competing against other local schools.

Education Week Assembly is held during Public Education week each year.
